What better way to celebrate brain awareness week than a post about Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) surgery now being available for regional residents of Queensland. NQNS is thrilled to be part of the DBS multidisciplinary team recently established in Townsville with Neurologist Dr Costello and Neurosurgeon Professor Matt McDonald the principal specialists. The first two patients underwent surgery in February which was a complete success and completely life changing. Deidre was fortunate enough to observe this procedure along with the highly experienced team of professionals from Sydney, Adelaide and Townsville. www.mater.org.au/group/news/mater-news/march-2022/deep-brain-stimulation-surgery-a-first-for-townsvi ...
